Justin Grove brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to GSA. Grove is a former professional player for the Richmond Kickers in the United States. He has international playing experience with professional French club Red Star FC and semi-pro South African clubs Magic FC and Grassy Park FC. Before going abroad, Grove was a full-scholarship player at the University of Richmond in the NCAA Division I. 


Justin Grove is certified by the French Football Federation, United States Soccer Federation, Scottish Football Association, and the Irish Football Association. He coached at the Red Star FC Academy in Paris, France which has developed numerous professional players throughout all levels of professional soccer. He has over 10 years of experience coaching in the United States, South Africa, and France. Grove has developed players who are currently playing in semi-professional clubs, US development academy programs and on scholarship in the United States NCAA 1st, 2nd and 3rd divisions.


Grove also has a Master's degree in Business from the University of Paris 10 and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Richmond. He brings his academic background to the GSA program to guide players in their development off the pitch and in their college recruitment process. 




The Grove Soccer Academy is pleased to welcome Bruno Ramos to it's coaching staff.

Ramos is a USSF licenced coach - he currently holds his National C license and is now a candidate for the National B license. He also holds his USYF Futsal Level 2 license and other certificates such as Sports Psychology and Mental Skills from U.S.C and Performance Analysis from U.S.C.  He is also a Level 1 Applied Performance Analyst through ISPAS. 

He is currently a full-time coach and Director for the Richmond Strikers. Bruno is the Boys Director of Futsal and Director of Boys ADP. 

Bruno also brings his playing experience to the GSA - playing professionally with the Harrisburg Heat in the MASL and with RVA F.C. in the NPSL. Bruno is also a product of the Richmond Strikers D.A. and is a former youth professional at Monterrey C.F. Bruno is now assisting the GSA Pro Development Program as a Designated Player.




Mumbi Kwesele is in his second season as a professional and is currently signed to the Richmond Kickers. Prior to signing in Richmond, he spent the 2018-2019 season playing for Real Unión Club de Irun “B” in the Basque region of Spain.

In his time as a coach, Mumbi has spent over six years working with players at various youth levels. This has included roles across the country and in Spain. Coach Mumbi is certified by the Irish Football Association. 

Kwesele is the co-founder of The Rising Point, an organization aimed to develop quality people and build community through the .

Mumbi has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Humboldt State University. He uses his educational background as a tool to help build individual and group confidence both on and off the field; the ultimate goal for Mumbi is to guide the youth towards being more aware, intentional and responsible players and people.

Mwape brings a lot of playing experience to GSA. He played two years of college soccer at Lindsey Wilson College between 2016 and 2017, where he scored 25 goals and tallied 19 assists in 34 appearances for the Blue Raiders.

First signed his professional contract with Charlotte Independence who play in the USL Championship in 2018. Then signed with the Richmond Kickers in 2019. He has also featured for the Zambian u15 and U16 national team

While at college, Mwape also appeared for Premier Development League sides Ocean City Nor'easters and Charlotte Eagles. While with the Nor'easters in 2016, he helped the team win the Eastern Conference championship while playing in every game during that playoff run. He scored two goals and dished out two assists before Ocean City fell short in the PDL Semifinals. The following year, Mwape joined the Eagles where he helped the club win the first PDL championship in team history.

Pavone brings over 8 years of coaching experience and both domestic and international playing experience to the Grove Soccer Academy. Pavone is entering into his 3rd professional season as a forward with the Richmond Kickers. Before joining the Richmond Kickers, he played overseas in Isreal for second division side Hapoel Petah Tikva F.C.

Luke Pavone played in college for the DIII program the University of Massachusetts- Amherst and the DI program Buffalo State. Pavone was a standout player earning All-American Honors, was a 2-time SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Week, and tallied 19 career goals for the Bengals.




Over the past 25 years, I have been blessed beyond measure to have worked with many elite athletes from a variety of different sports and organizations. My passion has always been to see an athlete reach their full potential not only as an athlete but as a person as well. Every athlete is unique and has a different story. My calling is to provide them with the tools they require and push them to achieve greatness in their sport and life. As a coach, I always instill in my athletes the idea that their level of success is equal to the amount of sacrifice they are willing to make. Great things happen on the other side of suffering!!

The Grove Soccer Academy is pleased to welcome Junior Mutumene to it's coaching staff.

Mutumene has over 10 years of sports management experience in his working career. He has played for several professional clubs which include: Maritzburg United, Santos Football Academy & Olympic Club de Kinshasa, in his younger years. Coach Junior currently holds his SAFA D coaching licence. 




The Grove Soccer Academy is pleased to welcome Chad Mansfield to it's coaching staff.

Coach Mansfield is certified by the Scottish Football Association and the South African Football Association. Mansfield has completed his GSA Mentorship program level 1. Chad is currently studying Business Marketing with Prestige Academy.





The Grove Soccer Academy is pleased to welcome coach Taugheed  to it's coaching staff. As a former first team player and International Tour player for the GSA, Coach Taugheed has a deep understanding of the philosophy and methodology of the Academy. Coach Taugheed is certified by the Irish Football Association and the South African Football Association. 



The Grove Soccer Academy is pleased to welcome Coach Melvin Lategan to its coaching staff.

Coach Melvin brings vast of experience to GSA, he has been involved in the game for over 25 years. Mr Lategan has successfully managed, coached and led various clubs around Cape Town, such include but not limited to Ajax Cape Town, Vasco Da  Gama, Avendale FC and FC Kapstaard to name a few.

He holds certificate in physical education, F.C.A level one course, SAFA introductory level 1 and 2, Ajax Cape Town coaching course, CTTFA certificate level 1, Ajax Cape Town KNVB certificate.



The Grove Soccer Academy is pleased to welcome Stefan Van Neel to its coaching staff.


Van Neel boasts a professional career at the highest level in South Africa. Stefan is a product of the AJAX Cape Town Youth Academy where he worked his way through the ranks to the AJAX Cape Town PSL first team at only 20 years old. Stefan then moved to Cape Town Allstars in the SAFA National First Division and currently players for the Magic FC in the SAFA 2nd division. Stefan brings his wealth of professional playing experience to the GSA GK program.  




The Grove Soccer Academy is pleased to welcome Clevin Hendricks to its coaching staff.


Clevin is a fitness instructor at the Ozzie's Fitness Club in Cape Town and brings his fitness knowledge to the GSA. Hendricks focuses on the speed, agility and conditioning of the South African academy players.

Coach Keegan heads up the Future Stars Program and comes to the Grove Soccer Academy with a school soccer coaching background. Coach Keegan is in the GSA Mentorship Program and is on track to complete his SAFA D licence.

With her educational background, vast cultural knowledge, and language proficiency, Marcella Monteiro Barros is an invaluable addition to the Grove Soccer Academy academic staff. Daughter of Brazilian Diplomats, Marcella has lived and studied in over 7 different countries gathering a vast cultural understanding and experience with adapting to different cultures. Marcella has her bachelor's degree from Clartiano University in Brazil. She is fluent in 5 languages including French, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, and Farsi. She has studied language, culture and civilization, and other domains at top French, Italian, and Brasilian Universities such as Claretiano University in Brasilia, University of Paris 4 La Sorbonne, and University of Paris 5 La Sorbonne Decartes in France, and the Italian Institute, Instituto Marangoni. Marcella will head the Grove Soccer Academy USA administration and language and culture programs.

Mrs Domingos brings vast of management experience to the Grove Soccer Academy. She has been involved in management positions for many years working for international brands such as Nine West and Steve Madden. Mrs. Domingos will be working to take the GSA brand to new heights.
